Our program provides a strong balance of research skills development and basic chemical engineering theory education to provide the PhD graduate with a strong educational portfolio to be successful within the university, industrial, or government sectors of employment. The Chemical Engineering Systems PhD program at UL Lafayette is designed to expose the student to systems science theory as a means of addressing and solving complex technical issues within the chemical engineering arena. Key to the success of the program is our faculty with their wide breath of expertise and international reputations in their chosen areas of research. The research facilities within the department and numerous closely-aligned R&D institutes and centers at UL Lafayette provide a world-class research setting for our PhD students. Several funded PhD positions are available each year for students with strong educational backgrounds.
