Polymer and Composite Testing Laboratory

Our newest laboratory, which is a material related laboratory, is used by our materials group. The equipment in the laboratory is useful for students to learn about materials testing. The equipment currently in place includes a Thermal Analysis 2200 System, a TMA 2940 Analyzer, a DSC 2910 Calorimeter, a DMA 983 Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer, a Galaxy Capillary Rheometer, a MTS Universal Testing Machine and a Polymer Structure Image System. Through Dr. Misra the department acquired a new Dynamic Mechanical Tester worth $36,000.
